Spicy Tuesdays….

October 8, 2009

Spicy Tuesdays_small

No exaggerating.  This is the easiest chili meal you could make and it’s super good.  It is really not too spicy.  Bean can be a bit picky on things she doesn’t know about so we just tell her its spagehetti and she eats it and asks for seconds.  PS…this was supposed to be posted on Tuesday, hence Spicy Tuesdays, but for some reason it was saved as a draft.

15 Minute Chili Spaghetti:

  • 1 pack of French’s Chili-O Mix
  • 1 can of tomato soup
  • 1 can of water
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 box of thin spaghetti
  1. Brown your ground beef (or have it done ahead of time like I do each week)
  2. Add pack of Chili-O mix, tomato soup, diced tomatoes, and water.  Simmer for 15 minutes
  3. Boil water; cook spaghetti
  4. DONE!

TIPS:  Top with shredded cheese, onions, and/or oyster crackers.  I’m weird and I even squirt a bit of mustard on it.  It’s a Cincinnati thing.  Enjoy!

Again, and like always, this meals makes enough for me to freeze the leftovers for a second meal.  Total cost for this  entire recipe is around $5.75 without anything being on sale ($0.79 pasta, $1.29 diced tomatoes, $0.59 tomato soup, $1.89 beef, & 1.19 Chili-O mix).

In case you had issues finding the Chili-O mix like I did, below is what it looks like.  I find it in the area with packs of chili mixes and spices.
